Each NGR train has the below features:
- Next station screens are above the inside carriage dividers facing the centre of the carriage, there is one at each end
- Quiet Carriages are in the second and fifth carriage of the train
- Door open buttons are on the middle of the door on the inside and outside the carriage
- Carriages are divided by slightly narrower aisles between most carriages. There is a narrow aisle between the third and fourth carriage going around the toilets.

Seating
Seating can be in twin sets or sets of four with some carriages having a line along the wall. Seats are 812mm off the floor.
Pull down seats are mounted to the train walls. Be careful as the seats flip up when you stand. If these are in the allocated spaces please vacate them for customers using a mobility device.
Allocated spaces for mobility devices are in the third and fourth carriages.

Priority seating is near the carriage doors with seats in every carriage. Seats are 812mm high.
Allocated spaces for mobility devices are in the third and fourth carriages. There are also restraining straps available in allocated spaces for customers using a mobility device, to use please secure the velcro strap around the arm or part of the structure of the mobility device. This is to help with extra stability whilst onboard.
Emergency help points
All trains are fitted with onboard emergency help points. They can be found inside every door and in the allocated spaces. If you need assistance in an emergency, please press the button to speak to the train crew.

On the NGR there are customer/disability assistance points for disability assistance in the allocated spaces. When activated you will speak to the train guard for assistance, such as arranging assisted disembarking.
If you are unable to activate the emergency help or customer/disability assistance points please ask another passenger for assistance to press the button and/or speak through the intercom.

Unisex bathroom
A unisex toilet is in the third and fourth carriage.
Bathrooms have:
- toilet with grab rails
- baby change table
- mirror
- wash sink
- soap dispenser
- dryer
- two emergency help points.
Toilet seat height: 470mm
Door entry width: 905mm
Bathroom floor width and length: 1630mm x 2190mm.

Hearing aid loops
NGR trains have a hearing loop system for people using hearing aids. Look for the blue and white internationally recognised hearing loop signs to show where the service is available.
