SMU 260 layout description

​Overall train layout:  

Three car train, carriage one is on the left, carriage two in the middle and carriage three is on the right. An arrow shows the train can run in either direction.

Carriage seating layout: 

From left to right, from one end of the train to other end. Both sides of the train are the same unless stated.  

Carriage 1 

  • Drivers cab on end of train 
  • One row of twin seats facing towards the first set of doors 
  • Allocated spaces on both sides, one side has three pull down seats along the wall 
  • Train doors on both sides 
  • Allocated space with three pull down seats along the wall, there is one row of twin seats facing the allocated spaces 
  • On the opposite side there is a twin set of inward facing priority seats
  • On the same side as the priority seats, there are twin set of seats facing each other to make a four seat area  
  • Two rows of twin seats facing towards the first set of doors 
  • Four rows of twin seats facing away from the first set of doors 
  • Twin sets of seats facing each other to make a four seat area 
  • Twin sets of inward facing priority seats  
  • Train doors on both sides 
  • Five rows of twin seats facing towards the train doors. 

Carriage 2 

  • Five rows of twin seats facing towards the train doors 
  • Train doors on both sides 
  • Twin sets of inward facing priority seats  
  • Twin sets of seats facing each other to make a four seat area 
  • Three rows of twin seats facing towards the first train doors 
  • Three rows of twin seats facing away from the first train doors 
  • Twin sets of seats facing each other to make a four seat area 
  • Twin sets of inward facing priority seats  
  • Train doors on both sides 
  • Five rows of twin seats facing towards the train doors. 

Carriage 3  

  • Five rows of twin seats facing towards the train doors 
  • Train doors on both sides 
  • Twin sets of inward facing priority seats  
  • Twin sets of seats facing each other to make a four seat area 
  • Four rows of twin seats facing towards the first train doors 
  • Three rows of twin seats facing away from the first train doors 
  • Twin set of seats facing first set of doors and makes a four seat area and on the same side there is a twin set of inward facing priority seats 
  • On the opposite side there is an allocated space with three pull down seats along the wall  
  • Train doors on both sides 
  • Allocated spaces on both sides, but one side has three pull down seats along the wall
