Reconciliation at Queensland Rail

At Queensland Rail, we are on a journey to reconciliation, playing our part to create a better, sustainable future for all Queenslanders.

For thousands of years First Nations people have travelled the lands and waterways now known as Queensland, guided by the Songlines and wisdom of the oldest continuous cultures in the world. Our rail network runs parallel to these ancient routes, connecting communities far and wide.

We are proud Queenslanders, and proud supporters of the Traditional Owners and Elders of the lands and waterways in our rail network and across Australia. We respect, celebrate and honour the legacy of the countless generations that have cared for Country and past communities, and we continue to the work towards a better future for all Australians.

To turn intent into action and support First Nations colleagues and communities, we're Launching our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). With pillars of relationships, respect and opportunities, our RAP will document our commitment to raise the profile of reconciliation with our customers, partners, and communities. It is our obligation to act to achieve greater inclusion for First Nations peoples and a more just, equitable, and reconciled future.

Now more than ever, as Queensland Rail prepares for the growth of our network and the evolving needs of our customers, we reflect on our history and commit to doing the work today that will benefit the next generation of Queenslanders.  We invite you to view our Reconciliation Action Plan and join on us on the journey to Queensland's future.
